“I don’t enjoy working with animals because they don’t speak English very well”

Robert Eggers says that Robert Pattinson expressed that he was "only interested in doing weird things", too right - The Lighthouse is a weird film for a weird guy.

The more I see of Robert Pattinson, the more I'm convinced he is just playing himself in The Lighthouse

Reasons to watch this
-Willem Dafoe is amazing and just seeing how dedicated and insane he was in the role has earned him my respect. He will forever be the only theater kid I will respect.
-Rob Pattinson is one of the best actors working today. I wish people could just see how dedicated, integral, and important he was to the Lighthouse.
-This production design is easily the 2nd best of the year but definitely the hardest one to execute. Just seeing how they were able to overcome challenges in the production was super entertaining and worth a watch.
-Robert Eggers does his homework!
-The music and sound design is so good that even the cast and crew of the film weren’t able to tell what was captured real audio and what was music.I think I’ve committed some sort of cardinal sin by viewing this film in color.

So incredibly interesting, and admirable. It just goes to show how dedicated, in research, craft, and budgeting, Robert Eggers is to his projects.
